  Plan to drop by to welcome everyone! Our two shops are all about women helping women through

       the art of quilting, needlepoint, knitting and all forms of fiber arts.

                           May and June Workshop Schedule

May 17th--1:00-4:00p.m.  Introduction to Needlepoint, $35.00

Needlepoint will bring you many hours of relaxation.  

This workshop will teach you what you will need to become a proficient stitcher.

 A small kit and project will be provided.

May 24th--1-4:00p.m.  Grab Bags (pattern enlargement provided), $25.00, Instructor: Linda McCarthy

A simple bag pattern plus two fabrics with character equal one fun tote.  You’ll want to make them by the dozen! 

 Shop has several “unusual” fabrics to choose from.  Shop kits available.

May 31st   --1:00-4:00p.m.  Sweatshirt vest/jacket, $25.00—Instructor: Linda McCarthy

Shop sample is made with three sizes of circle designs using templates (provided by shop). 

 You can make either a vest or a jacket with any design you want.  

Students must provide their own new, unwashed, one size larger than you normally wear sweatshirt.

June 7th-1-4:00 p.m.  Introduction to Knitting, $35.00

Learn the basics: cast on, knit, purl, and bind off all in one afternoon.

With this strong knitting foundation you will be able to go onto most any new project.

Materials are included.

June 14th-1:00-4:00 p.m.  Yo-Yo Throw Pillow, $20.00, Instructor: Linda McCarthy

Yes, Yo-Yo’s are back! Making this pillow will “throw” you right into the latest in home dec.

With the new Yo-Yo maker tool, this project is easy.   Pillow form is provided. Kits available.

 June 21th and 28th—1:00-4:00 p.m. Cape Cod Cable Knit Sweater, $35.00

Local wool from Woods Hole makes this easy sweater design very special.

 In the two Saturday afternoon workshops you will learn to make the popular “cable” design. 

However, basic knitting knowledge is required (see our beginning knitting class 6/7). 

The yarn and pattern are to be purchased thru the shop.  Remember to buy locally!

REGULAR SCHEDULED CLASSES (OPEN TO EVERYONE AT ANYTIME)

    Tuesday afternoons 3:00-5:00p.m., Wednesday Evenings 5:30-7:30p.m.,

                                 Or Saturday mornings 10:30a.m.-12:30p.m.

We always have an opinion and are willing to share it!  Plan to join the fun and laughter for one/or all the scheduled workshops. 

We do have a space limit of eight so please call to make sure space is available.  $5.00 per session.     

                                                              QUILTING

Push to Finish: Friday afternoons, 1:00-4:00p.m., $5.00 per session.

This drop in class is designed for those of you that need a little help getting those UFO projects completed.

With an instructor on hand, you can also start a new project.

Quilt in a Day: One Sunday a month--May 18, June 22, 9:00a.m.-5:00p.m.—Instructor: Susanne DeCoste.

This class is great for beginners as well as for the more experienced quilter. 

Keep in mind the graduate and June bride who would love to receive a made-by-you quilt! 

A full day of sewing with a lot of work getting done.  Contact shop for May and June dates.

Tuesday Evenings:  6:00-8:30p.m. Five sessions $25.00 (pre-registration is required)

Open sewing, good companionship and an instructor (Linda McCarthy) to help you along the way.

Wednesday: 1:00-4:00p.m.  The “Wednesday Afternoon Ladies” meet and help each other with their hand work.

There is plenty of room, good friends to meet and everyone is happy to show and tell all about their project. 

No charge for these afternoon sessions.
